This is our pottery before we got started. The two square dishes were my mom's. Her plan was to create planters for her cactus plants. The plate was Chase's and the bowl was mine. You can't see Kenny's project in this picture. He decided to make a mosiac tile instead of painting pottery.
Here's Kenny's tile when he was just getting started:

This is what our projects looked like when we left them at the Pottery Ranch. We had to leave them there for a week. The pottery goes into a kiln for firing. I have no idea how long the process actually takes, but to simplify things the Pottery Ranch just tells people to wait a week before they come back. Kenny's mosiac went home with us that day. We had to wait a couple of days to make sure the glue was absolutely dry then we put grout on it to complete it.
So with this in mind ... if you were thinking of visiting, but we scared you away with THIS POSTING, keep in mind that we have not gone totally off the deep end. We won't force you to go 4-wheelin', shootin', and cow hoof stealin'. Well, if we do, we'll at least take you to paint some pottery when the day is done. Promise.

Sounds to me like someone is having "bloggers remorse". Kind of like buyers remorse were you wake up the next day and think...What did I do?! I'm here to put your mind to rest! Anyone that comes to visit you are coming because they want to spend time with you no matter what your doing, digging in the dirt getting pricked by catus and bitten by fire ants, eating redneck BBQ, shootin n' four wheelin' or painting pottery. So have no fear, the ones that really love you won't be scared off that easily! The pottery looks great!
My planters are just wonderful!! They will always be very special to me.
I wasn't too worried about visiting because I figured we would just never get past the talking and drinking margaritas stage of the visit:)
Julie, come on down ... We'll drink margaritas at the pottery place ... I bet we'll make super-colorful pieces!
Mom, Did your cactus plants make it through baggage ok?
Aunt Kathy, Come visit me and your blogs will look just like Mom's except you'll get one extra posting ... we'll go rattlesnake huntin' while you are here!!
